Karl Delvin Bradshaw

Born on October 5, 1957.

Karl Delvin Bradshaw was born in Redding, California to John and Doris Bradshaw. and grew up in a ramshackle house in the town of Old Shasta, California. He was the youngest child with three sisters. They lived a very simple life, gathering water from an old miner spring, using gas lights, gas appliances and a wood stove. There was no running water, so they used an old fashioned outhouse and water basins for their personal needs. Although Karl did not grow up with many comforts, he learned how to make anything and everything with ordinary items. In many ways, the lack of basic household items allowed Karl to visualize and create so many useful tools and equipment.

Karl went to Old Shasta Elementary School and Shasta High School. He graduated in 1975, and married his high school sweetheart, Kathy Clearwater in 1976; they were together for nine years. Karl and Kathy had one child, Cassandra Lynn Bradshaw, who married her high school sweetheart Patrick McEachen, and they have two boys, Lochlyn and Callum. During their nine year marriage, Karl and Kathy built Wrench Works, a heavy equipment repair business. Karl decided to work for George's Equipment full time, going into the woods to work on skidders and tractors. He often took his young daughter, Cassie to the work site; she loved climbing all over the big machines.
